ANCESTRY
Infusing Ecuador’s indigenous heritage into contemporary art to create unique works that foster meaningful connections and shared cultural understanding
The journey here.
Less than a year and a half ago, Anku Tsawar Gallery opened its doors. In that short time, I could never have imagined all that would be accomplished through dedication, resilience, and an unwavering passion for sharing my art with the world. This journey has not only allowed me to showcase my work but has also fostered meaningful relationships and cross-cultural connections that have flourished. It fills me with immense pride to provide a space where art becomes a bridge for teaching, understanding, and exchange—creating a diverse community that reaches across the globe. From the doorstep of this little gallery, the dream began, and its impact continues to grow.

Inspired by the connections I've made and my deep commitment to preserving my country’s ancestral ways, my artwork blends traditional influences and techniques with present-day approaches to contemporary art. Each creation is a tribute to Ecuador’s indigenous heritage and a heartfelt offering to the diverse communities that have welcomed me along my journey - at home and abroad.
